This article explains features specific to the GFB 2.1 line (currently on version 2.1C) — the two trailer modes introduced in 2.1B, plus what changed in 2.1C. It is not a general guide to trailing stops; it documents how this specific strategy handles stop-loss movement once a trade is in profit. If you are not running GFB 2.1, this article does not apply to your setup.
Always run the latest version. GFB 2.1C is currently live. Clients with an active maintenance fee should download it from Whop (Vector Algorithmics → Learn → Vector Strategy Files) and replace any older 2.1 version on their VPS.
GFB 2.1B introduced two distinct trailer modes (previous 2.1 versions had a single trailing behavior).
GFB 2.1C is a slightly modified version of 2.1B — the trailer modes themselves are unchanged. What 2.1C adds is the ability to manually adjust the Stop-Loss limit for Monday trades, with a new default of 75 points to reduce Monday-specific risk while preserving expected returns.
The three mechanisms in GFB 2.1C are:
Normal trailing adjusts your stop-loss continuously as the price moves in your favor.
How it behaves: - Once the trade moves a set distance into profit (roughly +15 to +20 points from entry), the trailer activates - The stop-loss then follows behind the price at a fixed distance (~20 points behind) - As the trade continues to move higher, the stop-loss moves up with it — updating instantly with each tick - Because it updates continuously, you'll see the stop-loss shift frequently during a trending move
Result: Tight following of the trend, with frequent small adjustments.
Step trailing adjusts your stop-loss in discrete increments, like a staircase.
How it behaves: - When the trade reaches +30 points positive, the stop-loss moves up to +10 points above entry - When the trade reaches +40 points positive, the stop-loss moves up another step — to +20 points above entry - Each additional 10-point move in the trade triggers the next step; the stop-loss advances 10 points at a time - Typically the stop-loss moves only once or twice in a given trade, rather than continuously
Result: A smoother, less reactive stop behavior that locks in additional profit in defined tiers.
The break-even logic is the same as the original 2.1 that clients are already used to:
Break-even runs regardless of which trailer mode you've selected — it's an independent layer.
Beginning in 2.1C, the Stop-Loss limit for Monday trades is manually adjustable. The new default is 75 points, chosen to reduce Monday-specific risk while preserving the return profile.
| Day | Default State | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Enabled | SL limit: 75 pts (adjustable) |
| Tuesday | Disabled | |
| Thursday | Disabled |
Other days run under the standard 2.1 behavior. If you want to change the Monday SL limit or toggle any day, open a support ticket and our team can walk you through it safely.
The choice between Normal Trailing and Step Trailing is a matter of how you want the stop-loss to behave during a winning trade — not a matter of which one wins more. Both are valid, and the default from the Settings Spreadsheet is the right starting point for most clients.
If you're considering switching between them, open a support ticket first. Our team can confirm whether a change makes sense for your specific setup and goals.

👉 GFB 2.1B Trailer Modes Explained (Loom video)
The video runs about 2½ minutes and shows both trailer modes in action. The mechanics remain identical in 2.1C — only the Monday SL adjustability has changed in the latest version.
GFB 2.1C offers two trailer modes — Normal Trailing (continuous, tick-by-tick) and Step Trailing (incremental, staircase-style) — plus the unchanged break-even behavior from 2.1, and a new adjustable Monday SL limit (default 75 points). Use whichever trailer mode the Settings Spreadsheet specifies for your strategy, and open a support ticket for questions about mode changes, the Monday SL limit, or day-of-week settings.
