A VPS change is a coordinated transition, not something you do unilaterally on the client side. If you're moving to a new VPS (new provider, new instance, replacement machine), the Vector team handles the migration of your license and strategies — but you need to open a ticket so the process is done cleanly.
Open a ticket at http://support.vectoralgorithmics.io/ with:
The team will: 1. Deactivate your Vector license on the old VPS. 2. Install NinjaTrader on the new VPS (if not already present). 3. Activate your license on the new VPS. 4. Install your strategies and apply the appropriate configuration. 5. Set up broker connections (you'll need to provide your Rithmic / Tradovate / other credentials when asked).
Never have strategies running on both the old and new VPS simultaneously. If both are connected to your broker accounts, they will duplicate every trade the strategy places — doubling your exposure and putting prop firm accounts at risk of rule violations.
Before the team activates on the new VPS, confirm that:
The team will verify this during the transfer, but awareness on your end helps the handoff go smoothly.
