If your Replikanto isn’t copying trades to your follower accounts — or if you’ve had a temporary disconnect and need to “refresh” the system to resume normal operation — you do not need to close Replikanto or reinstall it. A true reset (closing Replikanto windows and saving an empty workspace) wipes your follower configuration and forces you to set everything up from scratch, which is almost never what you want.
The correct daily/operational refresh is much simpler:
Each follower account in Replikanto has a status indicator:
After a NinjaTrader restart, a broker disconnect, or a missed connection event, follower accounts often get pushed into red or gray. To resume copying, click the Re-arm button on each affected follower until the status returns to green. This is the standard operational reset and is what most clients mean when they ask how to “refresh” Replikanto.
If the Re-arm button itself appears greyed out, no action is needed — that means the follower is already armed and active. Move on to the next follower, or if every follower’s Re-arm button is grey, you’re done.
If re-arming doesn’t bring a follower back to green because the broker connection itself is down:
Once the broker reconnects, return to Replikanto and re-arm the follower if it didn’t auto-arm. Replikanto itself does not control the connection between NinjaTrader and the broker, so it cannot intervene in that step.
After re-arming and confirming everything is green, save your NinjaTrader workspace (File → Save Workspace) so the armed state persists across NinjaTrader restarts.
There are only two scenarios where you should close Replikanto windows:
To refresh Replikanto in daily use: re-arm followers, optionally reset the broker connection, save workspace. Do not close Replikanto. Closing Replikanto is only for install/update or a destructive factory reset.
