1. What MW2 Does

MW2 is a directional strategy for NinjaTrader built on the NQ / MNQ 15-minute chart. Unlike day-of-week or session-scheduled strategies, MW2 does not restrict itself to fixed trading days — it evaluates setups on any and every day it identifies conditions worth taking, and can also sit out a day entirely if nothing qualifies.

MW2 ships in two variants that share the same core signal engine:

  • MW2 (Base) — trades frequently, taking at least one signal per day under normal conditions. Built for consistent market exposure with a lighter filter set.
  • MW2 Pro — the same underlying strategy with a tighter, more selective filter layer added on top. Pro requires more conditions to align before it will fire, trading less often in exchange for room to root out lower-quality setups and reduce losing trades.

Unlike GQZeroLimit, MW2 is intentionally kept simple at the settings level. There is no multi-entry ladder, no tiered breakeven, and no Fib/pullback engine exposed in the panel — the only client-facing controls are contract sizing and take-profit point size. All entry logic, filtering, and stop handling are fixed inside the strategy and are not user-configurable.

CRITICAL — MW2 must run alone on its account:

  • Do not run MW2 and MW2 Pro on the same account. Both versions trade the same underlying signal on the same instrument — running them together produces doubled exposure on the same setup. Choose one variant per account.
  • Do not run MW2 (Base or Pro) alongside any other Vector strategy on the same account. MW2’s entries can conflict with other strategies (GFPB, GQZeroLimit, etc.), producing overlapping positions and unintended cumulative exposure on NQ / MNQ.
  • If you choose to run MW2, it must be the only strategy active on that account. Isolate MW2 to a dedicated account — do not mix it with the rest of the lineup.

2. How the Layout Is Organized

MW2’s strategy properties panel is intentionally minimal compared to other products in the lineup (e.g., GQZeroLimit, GFPB). It exposes two groups of settings:

  1. Position Sizing — contract quantity per signal.
  2. Take-Profit — the point distance used to exit the trade.

There is no shared stop-loss panel, no breakeven block, and no per-day filter section in the client-facing UI — these are hardcoded per version (Base vs. Pro) and are not adjustable without a strategy rebuild.

3. Full Properties Panel Reference

The table below lists every field exposed in the MW2 strategy properties panel, in the order it appears. Values shown are starting recommendations; tune contract size to your account’s risk tolerance.

Section 1 · Position Sizing

SettingValue / RangeNotes
Contracts1 (default)Number of contracts sent on each MW2 entry. Scale this to account size — e.g., 1 contract per $X of allocated capital, consistent with your existing per-strategy sizing convention.

Section 2 · Take-Profit

SettingValue / RangeNotes
TP (points)set per instrumentDistance from entry to the take-profit target, in points. On MNQ this is a $2/point instrument; on NQ it’s $20/point — multiply point value accordingly when estimating dollar targets. This is the only exit distance control exposed; there is no separate stop-loss field in the client panel.

NOTE: Because MW2 does not expose a stop-loss or breakeven setting, risk-per-trade is governed by the strategy’s internal logic rather than a client-adjustable field.

4. Base vs. Pro — Choosing a Version

MW2 (Base)MW2 Pro
Signal frequencyFrequent — at least one trade per day under normal conditionsLower — additional filters must align before entry
Filter strictnessStandard entry conditionsAdditional confirmation requirements layered on top of Base
Best forAccounts wanting consistent daily exposureAccounts prioritizing trade quality over frequency, willing to wait for cleaner setups
Configurable fieldsContracts, TP pointsContracts, TP points

Both versions are deployed and selected the same way in NinjaTrader — the only difference is which filter set is active internally. Run only one version per account.

5. Account-Size Guidance

As with other strategies in the lineup, contract sizing should scale with account size and be kept consistent with how MW2 is distributed across your account pool to avoid over-concentration on NQ/MNQ instrument exposure when other NQ/MNQ strategies are also running on the same account.

(Fill in specific contract-to-account-size mapping and dollar risk-per-trade figures once internal stop distance is confirmed — recommend mirroring the format used in the GQZeroLimit guide’s Section 5 once those numbers are finalized.)
